Elizabeth Weiss is a Research Assistant at the University of Chicago Consortium on School Research and master’s candidate at the UChicago School of Social Administration (SSA) where she is enrolled in the School Social Work program of study. Since joining the UChicago Consortium, she has worked on research projects investigating the connections between social emotional learning and art education and an ongoing investigation of equity and adult learning as part of the Building Equitable Learning Environments (BELE) Network. Prior to joining UChicago, Weiss worked as a artist and teaching artist in Chicago and holds a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she studied painting. Her research interests include the intersections of equity, trauma, healing, and creative processes in educational contexts.
